New Live Streaming Feature
If you actually visit my blog (http://www.coreydegrandchamp.com) you’ll notice the top left corner has changed a bit, I’ve switched from using Stickam as a streaming agent to uStream.tv
uStream.tv is a much better service, with less hick-ups, freezes, downtime, and is based much more around a “techie” community than a “MySpace for webcams” type site that Stickam was.
In the following days I’ll be setting up new cameras around my study, right now I’ve only had available one cam to me, which was built into my MacBook, so my live time has been very limited. By next week I should have two separate cameras positioned in my office and I’ll be able to switch between the two on the fly in the uStream.tv interface. It’s exciting for a geek like myself.
My live time is going to increase dramatically in the next few days when my new cameras arrive in the mail, so be sure to visit my actual blog and check it out! You can also click the menu in the lower right corner of the stream, and go to my uStream.tv profile, and join a live chat with me even, and you don’t even need to register for anything! I don’t anticipate many people to use that portion of the service, but if you do it’d be nice.
PS. I’ve decided to start doing reviews on AppStore applications, so look forward to some of those coming soon!
