Moving to Downtown Rochester

For those of you who might not know yet, I’m moving to Downtown Rochester on October 24th, with none other than the best possible roommate ever, who just happens to be Ang! We’ve already got the date set, our credit has been checked, and nearly everything is ready to go!

We already have all the big items we need, thanks to her Dad for giving us soooo much! And thanks to my Mom for helping out as much as she can, and even to Tim, for providing us with “us-getting-fat” accessores… AKA, a crock pot and deep fryer. We really only need some small items and accessories, and a cookware set, thats about it…

Words can’t describe how excited I am for this, not only am I moving in, and really starting my life together with my wonderful girlfriend, I’m finally also getting my own place. I’ve lived in the SAME house since I was born, I’ve never moved once, and I think now is the perfect time, and it’s with the perfect person.

I can honestly say that I feel like my life is finally coming together, I have a good job at Starbucks, but I have an even better job at Michigan Drill’s IT department. Jobs of course are nessicary to pay the rent and bills, but the amount of money we have coming in/left over doesn’t matter to me quite as much as it used to… Most of my time is obviously going to be spent working and studying, but its going to be so nice to come home after a 16+ hour work day, make some dinner with Ang, and just realx around OUR house, OUR place, with OUR things… Or, maybe go out for a night on the town even!

Personally, I’m excited about the apartmenet complex itself, its absolutely beautiful, Paint Creek runs right through it, and there’s ALWAYS ducks hanging around and even turtles, sometimes a deer or two is just hanging out at the creek. I mean come on now, how awesome is that? The entire complex is surrounded by trees and plants, nature is a beautiful thing. The complex has a pool, and a mini fitness center where me and Ang can spend some of our spare time, when we’re not so busy with school and work. It just really seems like a relaxing place, where you won’t have to go far to get somewhere quiet to do homework, or to just get away, just take a walk down by the creek.

Also really excited about being in the DOWNTOWN area. Rochester just seems like the perfect place for me and Ang, its far from Roseville, but its not too “prissy” and upsacle either. The holidays around the city are just going to be amazing. Christmas is serious business for sure.

That’s actually a photo of Main Street in Rochester, its not some random city. It’s going to make for the perfect winter stolls along Main Street. Fall time and Halloween will be there right as we move in on October 24th, so hopefully everything is set up to have some people over for a little Halloween get together/house warming party… I’ll keep you posted, as I have alot more time to write in my blog now, especially when I have slow days at work.

I’m not even mentioning the farmers market, how could I forget! Every Saturday morning, it’s going to be wonderful. Cheap, healthy, REAL food… and who am I kidding, its a social event in itself. I’m (as nerdy as it sounds) excited about meeting the local farmers and getting to knwo them.

But that’s another entry, maybe one for after our first visit to the farmers market! Well, until next time… I’m sure this was enough to read for now.
